Important announcement for suppliers

Dear registered UN Supplier,

We would like to call your attention to recent changes at the United Nations Global Service Center (UNGSC) that have an impact on how suppliers can participate in Invitations to Bid (ITBs) for UNLB- Italy and UNSB-Valencia requirements..

UNGSC is currently conducting a Pilot project to evaluate the feasibility, challenges, and benefits of using an electronic tendering (e-tendering) solution as an integral component of its procurement process.

Effective 25 May 2016, for all future UNGSC ITBs the tendering process will be taking place on-line, effectively replacing the use of e-mail, fax or hand-delivery to be invited to and/or respond to ITBs. Please note that UNGSC Requests for Proposal (RFP) are not subject to this Pilot project at the moment but may be included in the future; for the time being RFPs will continue to be sent and received under the current procedures outlined in those solicitations.
For your information, Requests for Quotation (RFQs) have been processed via e-tendering since 15 January 2016.

IMPORTANT: Since the access to UNGSC ITBs will be via United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org), it is important that you verify validity of the contact email address (-es) associated with your UNGM account in order to ensure delivery of the notifications and access to tendering documents. In the event that a company is not registered with the UN Secretariat in UNGM, the company may not be invited to UNGSC tenders.

More detailed information about UN Secretariat e-tendering Pilot is available at http://www.un.org/Depts/ptd/electronic-bid-submission-pilot.
The e-tendering User Manual for Suppliers is available at the following link: User Manual_e-tendering for Suppliers

Should you have any questions, please contact us via email at unlb-procurement@un.org.

Thank you for your support and interest in doing business with UNGSC.
